I've not been writing here, minimal reading elsewhere, and no sewing (short of a pair of jammies - out of fleece, no less! - & some clothes protectors [i.e., bibs]) for my darling Mumsy.
The short version of life at the moment is that we have been approved for in-home Hospice Care. This is a good thing! The 30-pound weight that has been lifted from my shoulders, as primary (i.e., 'sole') care-giver for Mom is so very freeing, and the knowledge that people will be here to support us, answer questions, and provide guidance on many levels is a blessing that moves me to tears of gratitude : )
I will likely be posting a bit about this process as I live in it, and hopefully will be able to sprinkle some creative sewing posts in too. But right now, life is mostly about making sure that Mom is safe, comfortable, and able to share the smile in her heart that has always been such a support for me. : )
